Bugatti Veyron L'Or Blanc com pintura de porcelanaEdição especial do Bugatti Veyron é mostrada em Berlim, na Alemanha, trata-se do Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport “L'Or Blanc”.

O único exemplar deste tipo foi desenvolvido em parceria com Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin (Fábrica Real de Porcelana Berlim), com a intenção de incluir porcelana no interior e exterior do veiculo.

O Veyron Grand Sport “L'Or Blanc” tem o motor com 16 cilindros de 8 litros e quatro turbocompressores. Que o levam de 0 a 100 km/h em 2,5 segundos chagando a máxima de 407 km/h.

A única unidade produzida da série custa “apenas” R$ 3,7 milhões.

The Schlumpf Collection is on display in France at the National Museum in Mulhouse, the Cité de l’Automobile

The Schlumpf Collection may be the most prestigious car collection in the world. This is demonstrated by the two of the only 6 made Bugatti Royales, including the famous Coupé Napoléon, the 150 Bugatti, Hispano-Suiza, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Maserati, Maybach, Mercedes models, etc.

It was in a former Mulhouse woollen mill, with its typically 19th century architecture, that Fritz Schlumpf established his fabulous collection of 437 cars belonging to 97 different brands. With part of on display at the Cité de l’Automobile, it is certainly a must see if you get to France

The collection was seized by the workers employed by the Schlumpf brothers, who had collected for years, and topped off their collection when Hispano Suiza needed to liquidate many of the Bugatti assets in 1963 after having purchased the Bugatti company. The Schlumpfs puchased Ettore Bugatti’s personal Bugatti Royale and many original spares and patterns—over the strong objections of the managing director and Roland Bugatti, Ettore Bugatti’s surviving son.

In 1971 the union of workers that had been restoring the cars, building restaurants, and a hotel that would have housed guests to the collection, went on strike, and years later the French government seized all of the Schlumpf assetts, including 437 vehicles. The strike was part of what forced the brothers to flee to Switzerland, echoing Bugatti's flight to Paris in the 1937 strike. Luckily the drivers all are standing next to the cars, it gives the behemoth proportion. I'd love to see one of these drive on a freeway to see how small the normal everyday Hondas and Nissans, Fords and Chevys look in comparison

Alemão maluco a 353 km/h

No vídeo abaixo vemos um alemão proprietário de um Bugatti Veyron testando se a maquina anda mesmo ou se é só propaganda. O maluco chegou a incríveis 353 km/h na Autobahn.

Alemão, veloz, rico... Alguém mais lembrou do Michael Schumacher.

Fotos do novo Bugatti Veyron que é ainda mais rápido

A versão ainda mais superesportiva do Veyron foi revelada, e ela chega com um novo recorde. Era previsto que ele chegaria a 425 km/h mas as expectativas foram superadas e a máxima atingida foi 434,211 km/h (o Veyron normal chaga a “apenas” 407 km/h).

Mas para atingir esta marca o motor de 16 cilindros, com turbocompressores passa de 1001cv para 1200cv indo de 0 a 100 km/h em 2,5 segundos e de 0 a 300 km/h passa a ser feita em 15 segundos.

O novo recorde de velocidade foi estabelecido no dia 3 de Julho na pista de testes da Volkswagen, em Ehra-Lessien, na presença de membros da TÜV e também de responsáveis do “Livro de Recordes do Guiness”. A velocidade máxima esperada era de 425 km/h, mas o Veyron conseguiu chegar aos 434,211 km/h, indo para o Guiness como o carro de produção mais rápido do mundo.

Novas Fotos do Bugatti 16C Galibier

A Bugatti divulgou novas fotos do 16C Galibier, o o futuro quatro portas da marca, apresentado pela primeira vez ao público no Salão Automóvel de Genebra.

As fotos mostram o 16C Galibier totalmente pintado em preto, mas ainda não esta confirmado sua produção.

O 16C Galibier foi inspirado no Type 35, um dos carros de corrida de maior sucesso da Bugatti, que serviu também de inspiração na concepção do Veyron, o Galibier apresenta uma estrutura em alumínio e fibra de carbono, materiais leves e resistentes que também são utilizados na carroçaria, além de outras partes do veículo. Ele chama a atenção com sua abertura bipartida do capo e oito ponteiras de escape.

A Bugatti divulgou um vídeo do 16C Galibier que foi apresentado no Salão de Frankfurt de 2009.

Ele Inspirado no clássico Type 57 Atlantic, de 1934 e tem 4 portas, e com o motor do Veyron, o 8.0 W16, porém “somente” dois turbom ao invés de 4.

A Bugatti divulgou imagens do 16C Galibier Concept o superesportivo foi apresentado em setembro durante as comemorações do centenário da marca.

O carro conceito ainda não tem previsão de ser produzido. Ele é feito de forma artesanal em fibra de carbono e alumínio que são cromados.

O 16C foi inspirado no Type 57, fabricado entre os anos de 1934 e 1940. O motor é um motor 8.0 W16, o mesmo do Veyron, porém roda com Etanol.

O conceito será mostrado nos dias 4 e 13 de dezembro nos Estados Unidos.
